КАОН (General purpose cardboard)

Asbestos Board is a fire-resistant insulation material made from chrysotile asbestos fiber impregnated with bakelite.

The product is used as a facing and thermal insulation material. In particular, asbestos Board is used for sealing connections in devices and apparatus, for the manufacture of gaskets, as well as as a filler in combined asbestos - metal gaskets installed in communications working with a pressure of 4 Mn/m2(40 kgf/cm2 at a temperature of 300 C-400 C).

It is produced in the form of sheets 1000 mm long, 800-1000 mm wide and 2 - 10 mm thick.

Technical parameters. The content of asbestos is 98-99 %. Density, kg / m3 1000-1400. Tensile strength, not less than: - in the longitudinal direction of 1.2 (12) MPa (kgf / cm 2), - in the transverse direction of 0.6 (6) MPa (kgf/cm 2). Loss of mass fraction of the substance during calcination, no more than 15 %. Mass fraction of moisture, no more than 7%.

Packaging. It is Packed on boards or pallets with steel or polymer tape binding. It is used in industrial thermal insulation as temperature-resistant gaskets, fire-resistant thermal insulation material, as well as for sealing connections of devices, equipment and communications. Fire and explosion proof. It must be stored in closed warehouses, in conditions that exclude water, oil and other substances that pollute the cardboard. Working environment temperature: up to + 500 g. C. the Guaranteed storage period is 10 years from the date of manufacture.
