Hexagon-one of the types of rolled metal with a characteristic equal hex cross section of the rod, used mainly as blanks for the production of nuts, bolts and other products, as well as in engineering, construction, industry and other areas of production.

The main method of production of products of this type is hot-rolled technology, using which a range of rolled products with a diameter of a circle inscribed in the section of the rod from 8 mm to 100 mm is available. In some cases, calibration is used to produce a hexagon calibrated with high dimensional accuracy, as well as forging. At the same time, modern industry is quite able to produce a larger diameter steel hexagon on an individual order. Accordingly, based on the areas of further application, various grades of ordinary, high-quality and high-quality steel can be used for the production of hexagon.
