Steel square is produced in the form of wire or rods having a square section of different diameters. The main applications of this type of rolled metal are in construction, industry and some other areas, as well as use as blanks for the manufacture of parts and tools.

The main volume of production of this type of rolled metal is accounted for by hot-rolled technology, but in some cases the square can be produced by cold-rolled method.

Hot-rolled steel square is made of various grades of steel, determined by the length of the rod, as well as the scope of the square: for rods from 2 m to 12 m, ordinary carbon or low – alloy steel is used, for rods from 2 m to 6 m - carbon or alloy steel, for rods from 1.5 m to 6 m-high-quality high-alloy steel. In General, the industry produces square hot-rolled or cold-rolled measuring, measuring with balances of up to 15% of the lot dimensional dimensional length with the residue up to 15% of the party and of random length, or according to individual agreement with the customer that makes it easy to buy a steel square any size you need. At the same time, it should be remembered that according to GOST, the permissible deviations of the rod length should not exceed 40 mm for a length of up to 7 m and 65 mm for a 12-meter rod.
