Mercury thermometer - a device for measuring temperature in various technical installations and pipelines in air-steam-water environments. Mercury thermometers are a glass flask with a narrowed lower (submerged) part and a milky-colored scale plate embedded inside. The submerged part can be of two versions - straight (TTP) and angular (TTU). The submerged part in the angular version is curved at an angle of 90 degrees. For vertical pipelines use angle thermometers, and for horizontal-straight thermometers.
