A gate valve is a pipe fitting in which the locking or regulating element moves perpendicular to the axis of the flow of the working medium. Gate valves are a very common type of shut-off valve. They are widely used on almost any technological and transport pipelines with diameters from 15 to 2000 mm in housing and communal services, gas and water supply systems, oil pipelines, energy facilities and many others at operating pressures up to 25 MPa and temperatures up to 565 °C.
The wide distribution of valves is explained by a number of advantages of these devices, including:
comparative simplicity of construction;
relatively small construction length;
it can be used in a variety of operating conditions;
low hydraulic resistance.
The latter quality makes the valves especially valuable for use in main pipelines, which are characterized by constant high-speed movement of the medium.
Slide-out valve with spindle
In this design, the spindle thread and the running nut are located outside the valve body. The lower end of the spindle is connected to the gate and when the travel nut is rotated to open the gate, it performs only translational movement together with the gate, while the upper end of the spindle is extended by the amount of the gate stroke. To allow movement of the spindle, the running nut is raised above the top of the cover (i.e., above the oil seal) by about the size of the stroke of the shutter in a structure called a bugle node.
The advantages of this design are the absence of harmful effects of the working environment on the running unit and free access for its maintenance, and therefore less wear of the oil seal and higher reliability of the threaded pair and the oil seal.
The disadvantage of such valves is an increase in the construction height and weight due to the output of the spindle from the cover by at least the diameter of the passage and the need for this reason to leave a free space for the output of the spindle during installation.

Centrifugal pumps, depending on their modification, can solve many production tasks.
For pumping chemically neutral water or water with a temperature not higher than 105 degrees Celsius, CNSG pumps are used. Pumping of oil used in systems of turbo generators, as well as oil supply in control systems during the descent and stop of turbines is carried out by pumps TSNSM. Pressing steel fittings is the final operation consisting of connecting a steel rope and a steel fitting with various mounting options and shapes. The main advantages of these products are small dimensions and high strength. The fastening of the steel fitting on the rope has a sealing strength factor equal to 90% of the breaking force of the rope. The manufacture of such products requires the use of special devices and high-power presses. The fitting is made of special steel that can withstand the loads applied to it.
Filling couplings (sockets)
In this method of sealing the ends of the rope, the couplings are fixed using a low-melting metal or a special polymer composition (WireLock). Coupling sealing is only possible for ropes up to 90 mm in diameter.This type of sealing has the highest efficiency coefficient, but it is the most time-consuming and expensive. The filling of special couplings (sockets) intended for operation at temperatures up to -50°C involves the use of modern polymer WireLock as the filling material.
The Advantages Of WireLock:
There is no temperature influence on the strength and fatigue characteristics of the rope and the filling coupling.
The rope lubricant in the rope twist Assembly remains intact.
The possibility of shell formation is excluded.
According to ISO/DIS 17558, the operating temperature limit applied to a wire rope with a steel core, the ends of which are filled into the coupling with this alloy, is from -50 °C to +110 °C. WireLock Filling allows you to achieve the maximum allowable utilization rate of the final product. Wirelock is manufactured in accordance with European standards: ISO17558 and EN13411-4. Steel rope sling
Steel rope slings are quite reliable and resistant to sudden dynamic loads. The rope sling is made in two versions: by braiding and crimping with an aluminum sleeve (page 96). Rope slings are used for lifting and moving a variety of loads at temperatures from -40°C to + 400°C.
